Dr. Cosmin Ioan Roman

Dr. Cosmin Roman is with the Micro and Nanosystems group at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zürich (ETHZ) since 2006. His research interests encompass the science and technology of solid-state micro and nanotransducers, from traditional Silicon micromachining to carbon nanotubes, with a special emphasis on energy efficient transducer concepts. Dr. Roman obtained his doctoral degree from the National Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble (INPG), working on modeling quantum transport and mechanical properties of carbon nanotube-based (CNT) devices for bio-sensing applications. His expertise expertise is multi-physics and compact modeling of transducers.
